Aims: To help students with listening for details to complete the dialogue, speaking describe people’s

appearance in a simple way

Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe people’s appearance in a simple

way and introduce people and respond to introduction

Assessment

Materials: Unit 1 part speak in textbook grade 8, laptop, projector, pictures, clips, etc.

1 WARM UP

Brainstorming

(About 5 minutes)

TASK 1 : Listen to

require and play

game with the

teacher

- Divides the class into 2 teams

- Asks each student write their names on a piece of paper

- Collects all piece of papers and takes out 3 students from each team

to play a small game

- Says the game called “ parts of the body”

- Introduces 10 parts of the body and asks class speak louder: Eye, nose, mouth, ear,finger,hair,arm,elbow, hand, knee

- Starts the game For example: Teacher says

“eye” and points to the

“eye” or points to any others to cheat students

Go on

- Divide into 2 teams

- Write their names

- Do the requirement

- Listen to the teacher

- Speak louder with the teacher

- Play the game Try to listen and point to parts of their body correctly The team gets more plus is win

- Help the pupils relax and create dynamic atmosphere before starting the new lesson

- Make students more interested in the new lesson

- Teach the students how to read the new words

- Invite some students to repeat several times

- Give some comments about students’ pronunciation

- Give a diagram about new words

- Teacher reads the dialogue and guide them describe people

- Teacher stick in the board and introduce structure describing people’s appearance

- Give an example and then teach grammatical structures
