Today 13th Dec,2002 at 0520 a m when knocked of cargo work at Hold No.1, the winch man who controlled the derrick No.2 heaving up the derrick up position, but he was careless look like nearly sleeping, so he controlled the derrick incorrect and made mistake, he used the
derrick-hoisting winch too fast then the derrick at up position over limited and it cut the derrick-hoisting wire rope It took the boom fallen directly to cargo hold and made the boom was bent Now the derrick No.2 can not continue
working
In this connection, I beg you to send me, as soon as possible , an
official surveyor who will carry out a survey and estimate the extent of the damage caused and recommended the necessary repair work
