By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use past simple and past simple with Wish

IV PROCEDURES:

1 Warm up: (5’)

 Pelmanism:

 Revision: The Past form of irregular verb

2 Practice: (15’)

1) Work with a partner Ask and answer

questions about what each person did on the

weekend (P 11)

S1: What did Ba do on the weekend?

S2: He went to see the movie called “Ghosts

and Monsters”

S1: When did he see it?

S2: He saw it on Saturday afternoon at 2

o’clock

 The simple past tense

- Teacher divides the students into two teams and asks them to choose two numbers

+ Students choose two numbers

- Teacher turns over the cards and sees if they match e.g: go _ went If not, teacher turns the cards face down again and asks the other team to choose Continue until all the cards are turned over

- Teacher reminds the use of the past simple tense and the formation of the past simple tense

+ Students read the conversation in the text book

+ Work in pairs

- Teacher asks the students to make questions and answers about what Ba, Nga, Lan, Nam and Hoa did on the weekend

+ Students work in pairs

S1: What did Nga do on the weekend?

S2: She went to the concert performed by Ha Noi singers

2- Nam hung colorful lamps on the wall

3- Lan bought flowers

4- Phong painted a picture of Ha Noi

5- Nga and Loan went shopping

 Answers:

 Answer the questions:

2) When did Ba see it?

3) What did Nga do on the weekend?

4) When did she go?

5) Who made a cake?

6) What did Phong paint?

 Students make three wishes of their own

5 Homework: (2’)

- Study the lesson carefully

- Write the answers in your exercise book

S1: When did she go?

S2: She went there on Saturday at 8 pm

- Teacher introduces the situation: Lan and her friends are holding a farewell party for Maryam Write the things they did to prepare for the party

+ Students look at the pictures and read the words in the box

- Teacher and students give a name to each person in each picture

+ Students work in pairs

- Feedback

- Teacher explains the situation and reminds the past simple with wish

+ Students read the sentences and make wishes

+ Individual  pairs

- Feedback

- Teacher corrects the mistakes and gives the correct answers

- Teacher asks some questions + Students listen and answer the questions + Individual

of their own
