1.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

-Develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information

- Summarize the listening text while listening and talk about related problems

2.Teaching aids:

- blackboard, chalk

- cassette, tape

- textbook, lesson plan

B Procedures:

I Organization:

- T checks the number of students and

asks Ss to make some class arrangement

1 min - The monitor reports the number of

students in his/her class to the teacher

II Checking the old lesson:

- T calls 2 sts to interview each other

about their hobbies

- T gives comments and marks

5 mins - continue interviewing each other

about about their hobbies

III New lesson:

1 Warm- up:

- T gets sts to make as many sentences as

possible with the words provided

- T calls on the representative of each

group to give their ideas

4 mins - work in groups and make as many

sentences as possible with the words provided

pairs

- T calls on some Ss to present their ideas

3 While you listen:

*Task 1:

- T asks Ss to open the textbook

- T asks a student to read out the

requirement of task 1

and decide the statements are true or false

- T has Ss compare their answers with a

friend and correct the false ones

- T calls on some Ss to read their answers

aloud in front of the class

requirement of the task
