- Let ss think of the kinds of food that they’ve learnt
- Ask ss to go to the board and write the words about food
as many as they can
* Chatting
- Ask ss some questions:
+ Can you cook? Are you good at cooking?
+ Do you often cook meals?
+ What dishes can you cook?

- bowl (n): cái bát (visual)
- dish (n): món ăn (example)
- soy sauce (n): nước xì dầu (visual)
- slice (v): thái thành lát mỏng (picture)
- stir-fry (v): xào (explanation: cook the vegetable, meat… by frying them for a short time in very hot oil while stirring them)
- add (v): cho thêm, bổ sung (translation)
* Checking vocabulary: Rub out and remember
- Rub out the new words one at a time
- Ask ss to repeat the words before and after T rubs out the words
- When all the English words are rubbed out, go through the Vietnamese list and get ss to call out the English words
- Get ss to come to the board and write the English words again
