1 Model verbs: May/ might

may/ might + infinitive.

Form:

future possibility.

• might is normally a little less sure than may.

Example:

book/ game

box of crayons/ box of paints

It may be a box of crayons,

or it might be a box of paints

football/ basketball

It may be a football,

or it might be a basket ball

If clause: Simple present tense.

M clause: Simple future tense

Use:

We use this structure when there is a possibility

that the situation in the if-clause will happen in the

future or is true in the present.

Example:

2.Conditional sentence (type 1):
