Procedure:

1 Warm up: Persuade me! Draws something on the board that

students might like (a bicycle, an ice cream cone, etc) Tell

students you’ll give this thing away to the person who gives

the best reason Take 3 reasons from students, but don’t

allow any student to give the same reason twice:

Bicycle: S1: “I want the bicycle because it’s beautiful and

new”

S2: “I want the bicycle because my bicycle is broken”

S3: “I want the bicycle so I can race in the bicycle race this

weekend and win the prize…” Encourage students to give
