4.2 In the final y heat-treated cond ition, the
mechanical properties of the material used for
forg ed bolts shal be as fol ows:

ac ord nce with DEF STAN0 -19[ 1]
6.1 All finished bolts, after the a plcation of the
ca mium coating , shal conform to the dimensions

6.2 The clamping leng th of the bolt shal conform to
the d imensions and tolerances g iv en inTa le 2,and
shal be such that when a stand rd nut without
cou ter in or ring g aug e without cou ter in has
be n s rewed on as far as pos ible b hand, its
lea ing face is within the distance Mf om the
u der id e of the bolt hea The runout of threa
shal not exce d twice the pitch
6.3 The nominal leng th of the bolt shal be the
minimum bearing leng th L, which is determined b
