co ting Even if the salt is r adiy soluble in wat er, it is oft en imp s ible t o r mo e it complet ely from the
surfac b a simple washing such as that desc ibed in this proc d r The method does not the efor
det ermine the t otal amou t of chloride on the surfac but gives an in ication of the cleanlnes level of
the surfac Prolonging the washing time should r mo e a larg er pro ortion of the salt
