Note 1 t o entry: Due t o sideways movement of the flang s of the chan el shaped prof ile in the b n ing test, the

specimens bre k almost ex clusively at he transition from web t o flang (i.e not at the e treme edg of the flang

or the face of the web) Conseq ently, the prof ile b n ing strength is not the glas strength, but rather a value

representing the strength of the prof ile

5.1 Testing machine

The ben ing t es shal be car ied out using a suita le ben ing t es ing machine, w hich shal incorp rat e

the folowing featur s

b) The s r s ing devic shal be ca a le of the spe if ied rat e of s r s ing

themeasuring rang e

7.2 Bending test
