By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe features using

adjectives of color

II.Warmer (5’)

Jumble Words

- Write the words whose letters are in a random order on the board

- Divide the class into 2 teams Ask students from two teams go to the

board and write the correct words

- The team which writes more correct words first wins the game

Key:

III NEW LESSON

Step 1 : Presentation (12’)

black (adj) đen

white (adj) trắng

gray/grey (adj) xám

orange (adj) cam

yellow (adj) vàng

- Listening to the words

- Repeating the words in chorus & in individual

- Correcting the mistakes

- Giving the meaning & the pronunciation

- Copying the words

Introduces the words by explaining the

meaning, using the situation

- Reads the words for the modal (3 times)

Then helps SS to repeat (2 times)

- Checks S’s reading in individual &

corrects the mistakes

- Writes the words on the Bb & checks the

meaning & the pronunciation

Check voc : R.O.R

Finding friends:

- Introduces the requirements & the table

then asks Ss to make sentences:

She has brown hair.

She has green eyes Etc…

- Asks Ss to go to the board & take note

their friends appearances & Comments

Step 2 : Practice (15’)

Dialogue Build:

- Set the scene: Mai have a new doll Mai

and Lan are talking about her doll.

- T reads out the dialogue and writes a

few key words on the board to help sts

remember what the two speakers in the

dialogue say to each other

- Sts reproduce the dialogue from these

board cues until it is memorized

- Sts practice the whole thing in open

pairs then in close pairs

Mai: I have a new doll.

Making sentences:

She has brown hair.

She has green eyes Etc…

- Going to the board & taking note their friends appearances

- Repeating the dialogue to remember

- Practicing the dialogue in groups & in pairs

- Building the dialogue

- Correcting the pronunciation & building the dialogue

* Dialogue:

Lan: I have a new doll.

Mai: What color is her hair ? L: It’s black.

Mai: What color are her eyes ? L: They are brown.

Lan: What color is her hair?

Mai: It's black

Lan: What color are her eyes?

Mai: They are brown

Step 3 : Production : (10’)

Picture Drill (B 3 P 101)

- Ask students to look at the picture

(4 dolls)

- Run through all picture cues

- T models => sts repeat

Example:

- What color is her hair?

- It’s black.

- Teacher – Whole class

- Open pairs => Close pairs
