A OCJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to listen to understand

some activites and read a passage to know about Mr Ha, Miss Hoa, Mr

and Mrs Vui

Skills: listening and reading

Ps Ss have great passion for studying

B TEACHING AIDS.

- lesson plan, English book visual aids, projector, laptop, speaker

C METHODS: T/ WhC, pair, group, individual work

D CONTENTS:

I Organization:(1’)

II.Warmer (5’)

Slap the board

- Stick the pictures from A4 on page 84 on the board

- Call two students of two teams to the front of the class

- Call out whole sentences:

“She is walking to school”

- Sts listen to the teacher and slap the correct pictures on the board

- Continue until all the pictures are slapped

III.New lesson

Step 1 : Listening (10’)

Ordering pictures: (A4 on page 84)

- Sts look at the pictures and describe the

pictures

- Ask sts to listen to the tape twice and number

the pictures as they hear

- Give feedback

1-b: Mr Tam is a businessman He is driving

home from work.

2- f: Mrs Thanh is waiting at the station The

train is late and she is very angry.

3- d Nam and Quang are going around the city

by motorbike.

4- a: Viet is a student He is riding his bike to

school.

- Sts listen and number the picture they hear

- Sts go to the board to write

Step 2 Reading (15’)

+ T explains the words: Who, what, where, how

+ T explains the example /P 85

+ T asks sts to read the sentences and make

questions and answers

Answers given

- Run through all answers

- T models => sts repeat

- Teacher – Whole class

- Open pairs => Close pairs

Example:

- Who is that? – That is Lan.

- What does he do? – She is a student.

- Where is she going? – She is going to

school.

- How is she traveling? – She is traveling by

bike.

Step 3: Further practice (10’)

Write it up

- Ask sts to write about Lan, Mr Ha, Miss Hoa,

Mr Tuan, using the word cues from "Answers

given"

- Give feedback (A6 on page 85)
