3.2 Working with supervisors:
Figure 4: The classroom arrangement for distancing assurance
Trang 13I practiced at the center of two different tasks as TA and Customer Care First of all, Iworked in Customer Care Task with Mr Vu Hong Khanh Taking care of the customers atthe center was about their students and their parents, so the task included the learning andconsulting the courses for the learners Moreover, the amount of data and information wasvery large and heavy that required the patience and precision in arranging the studyingschedule and announcing it to parents Mr Khanh spent much time to instruct me how touse the internal information as well as the strategy for caring customers.
On the other side, my main task is teaching assistant that included supporting teachers andstudents during and after the lesson Ms Khanh guided me the needed skills to cooperatewith the teacher and learners as well as to prepare the documents for every lession.Because of the Covid pandemic, a number of classes had to move into online classes, Ms.Khanh also trained me the online teaching program Thanks to all of this, I clearlyexperted everything for my TA task within a week and completed my assignment in thisinternship
3.3 Working with coworkers:
My TA group included nine members managing 16 classes at all levels They're all thestudents of many different universities in TPHCM who works part-time for the center. Some of them have been here for more than one year, while another people have just takenthe job recently Everyone was cheery and willing to help everything in the TA tasks Inthe first days of the internship at the center, I actually learned a lot from observing otherpeople in preparing well as well as in class, then I draw the experience for myself to finish
my assigned work
In the Customer Care room, I worked with the two colleagues, Ms Oanh and Mr Nhac. Both of them actually spent a lot of time helping me get used to the enormous amount ofdata on the management system At the same time, they showed me how to classify thelearners’ information before processing to accomplish much more efficiently Planning aspecific plan in every tasks is Mr Nhac’s advantage that he could resolve the work easily. The atmosphere in our room was always so pleasant and cozy as a family, everyone in the
Trang 14room always treated me like a younger brother in the house Those conditions obviouslyreduced stress in the process of working as a customer care staff.

Trang 17CHAPTER 5: OVSERVATION TASK
5.1 Attending to the learner:
5.1.1 Task objectives:
For this lesson, I attended to the CK2 class of Mr Desmond for one and a half of hour topay close attention to the interaction between the teacher and the learners I have to recordthe verbal and non-verbal language that are the way to communicate with the leanersusing eye contact, gesture, touch, facial expression, and so on
5.1.2 Data collection:
- Teacher: Desmond
- Level of class: CleverKid 2
- Quantity of learners: 8
- Ages: 6-8 years old
- Textbook: Story Central 1 (Student book, Activities book, and Practice notebook)
Figure 6: The CK2 class of Mr Desmond
Trang 18In this class, there is a striking sign that the weaker students being more interested than the
others, such as Khang, and Tri Moreover, Khang was likely very shy, so the teacher
regularly encouraged him to do the exercises or answer some questions On the other
hand, Tri had some problem with his cognigtive ability, so he often jumped and ran
around the classroom Mr Desmond and TA always had to pay attention to Tri to keep
him focusing on the lesson He always gave Tri a chance to speak whether he was accurate
or not Sometimes, he showed that he disobeyed which Tri was doing to remind him not to
shout loud in the class Identifying the facial expression of the teacher, Tri also stopped
annoying the class
Johnny (M) N,N, ,,,
Tri (M) N,,,E,E ,,,,
Trang 19There are five boys and three girls in the class, but there is no distinction between thegender.
The seat was organized in a square so teacher could always walk around and interact withall the students The communication between teachers, TA, and students was easierbecause the distance is quite close Therefore, the seating arrangement also makes surethat all students get the same attention
Some students who were better actively attend into the lessons So the density of theiractivities is always superior to other friends As the result, teacher often had to encouragethe others students in the class using smile, eye contact, or clapping when you speak Onthe other side, teacher also regularly used a facial expression to show his dissatisfactionwith the boys who did talk to each other
The time that the students do practicing exercises is the time teacher used mostinteractions First, he reminded them to focus on doing homework After that, when hecorrected the exercises in the class, he used smile when they answered correctly, or facialexpression to motivate when the answers were wrong instead of correcting mistakesimmediately so as not to reduce their confidence He regularly moved around the table towatch all the students and used the non-verbal language to interact with students such aseye contact, nodding or gesture if he wanted to give the suggestions to the students
5.1.4 Reflection:
In my opinion, the most obvious thing of attending to the learners is the attitude Theteacher appearing in front of the learners with a smile will make the atmosphere muchmore comfortable This will motivate them to stay ease as they study and do not suffer toomuch pressures in the class Besides, calling the learners’ name regularly shows interest intheir study to help them feel more concerned than being overlooked In addition, showingpleased to the learners is also very important during the lesson that is able to make themfeel more proud and self-confident in their mind However, we are not only interested inthe good or active learners, but also need special attention to the weaker ones Sometimes, children may feel discouraged at school, an encouragement from a teacher can make a lot
of sense But this has to happen repeatedly over many days because some of the students
Trang 20are difficult to change their bias about English, or being forced to learn English, or they donot want to hear the teachers Therefore, teachers often have to be patient to choosecarefully the way to show themselves expression to the learners to avoid letting them feelashamed One of the most common problems is that the classes of the children are oftennoisy, and they do not usually focus on the lessons This requires severity as well asflexibility in the teacher's emotional expression We cannot yell at the kids because we aregoing to scare of put pressures on them instead of getting kids’ interests in classes Thus,
we can allow students to participate in the pair or group activities accompanied by verbal actions to pull their focus on lessons naturally In concluding, attending to thelearners is an important factor to support the study of the students, bring confidence tothem and make the atmosphere comfortable in the classroom
