1.1.4 Functions, duties, Field of activity of Thu An Tutoring Center
Functions, duties
Manage and implement training programs including plans, studyprograms, learning materials, teaching organization and teaching quality according tothe regulations of the Ministry of Education and the center
Manage courses and study programs, list of HR
Implement policies to pay salaries, bonuses and other incomes for centeremployees
Responsible for the QC of the teaching of teachers and teaching
assistants
Plan to take care of students, offer attractive programs for promotional activities to attract students

Center Policy
Tuition refund policy: Students can re-study completely free of charge or request the Center to refund 100% of the paid tuition fees, if the
following conditions are met:
- Attend 100% of all classes
- Complete the course within the committed time
Trang 14- Attend all tutoring sessions and fail to pass the 3rd final exam.
- When there is something unsatisfactory in the learning process, studentshave responded to the Academic Advisor but still not received satisfactory supportfrom the Center
Transfer policy: Students can completely transfer to a third party when the following conditions are met:
- Consent from Thu An Tutoring Center
- The student has completed the full tuition fee of the course that he/she wants to transfer
- Students who have not participated in the course If enrolled, the course
is non-transferable
Reservation Policy: Students can reserve their courses when they meet the following conditions:
- Students who have not yet started participating in the course are allowed
to reserve that course
- Students who study less than 1/3 of the course duration, have a valid reason (with proof) for their absence from their course
- The maximum period of storage is 6 months If the reservation expires,students do not actively contact the center to arrange to continue their studies, studentspay an additional fee of 100,000 VND / month (from the date of reservationexpiration) to continue the course
1.1.5 Organization structure of Thu An Tutoring Center
Organizational structure is important for any growing center Withoutorganizational structure, employees may not succeed in their role due to notunderstanding responsibilities or bad work processes
Trang 15 The center's current staff is 26 people, including 24 officers and employees whograduated from University or more For each specific activity, the center has a team ofprofessional, creative and enthusiastic staff At the top is the Director who directlyruns all activities of the center, decides on the development strategy of the center,followed by Accounting Department, Academic Department and EnrollmentDepartment.

Functions of departments: looking at the organization structure of Thu AnTutoring Center, it can be seen that the management structure is relatively simple,unified and closely related to each other This is an organizational management system

decision-making power and is responsible for the entire operation of the center The committees are responsible for assisting the director in
formulating operational plans and strategies, and are directly in charge ofthe center's work
Accounting Department: manage the budget, monitor the revenue and expenditure of the center, manage all bills and vouchers of the center,
be responsible for reporting the budget situation to the director when necessary
Academic Department: responsible for accurately capturing data on thetraining situation of the center in a certain period, developing a
strategic plan for training, teaching and student development
Enrollment Department: consult courses and arrange class schedules;
assist students in determining their English level and participating in the course
1.2 Overview of the Academic Department
The Academic department is one of the important and indispensable parts ofany center This department plays the role of controlling activities of classes ingeneral, teachers and teaching assistants in specific
It also acts as an advisor to the Director and coordinates with otherdepartments and divisions in the center to develop educational strategies to increasesales and profits, to help the center grow and develop day by day The Academicdepartment has contributed a significant part in the development of Thu AnTutoring Center in the process of attracting students during the last years with agrowth rate of over 10%/year The Academic department is divided into 3 teams,each team with its own functions and tasks
Head manager: managing staffs, controlling activities of classes in general,
teachers and teaching assistants in specific
Trang 17Academic staff: is in charge of sending course information and timeline to teachers
and teaching assistants via Gmail before these classes are officially opened Bymonitoring cameras, they will check if teachers strictly follow the courses orteaching assistants complete all assigned tasks well and whether there are seriousclass issues so that they can have immediate solutions Moreover, academic staff’sfrequent attendance is required in order to follow and inform new teachers of anyinappropriate matter
Teacher: planning course material and activities, organizing classroom lectures,
assessing the students’ progress, collaborating with teaching assistants and parents
to foster a good student experience
Teaching Assistant: with students needing extra help in keeping track of lessons,
they are responsible for assisting them with more exercises In addition, theirresponsibilities include notifying students’ parents the test date, designing the testformat and invigilating students doing both midterm and final tests, then sendingthe results to them

2.1.1 Job Description
As a Teaching assistant, my duties are specialized in helping teacherscomplete daily tasks within a classroom environment I am responsible forpreparing for lessons by preparing resources, or putting out equipment at thestart of a lesson, leading lessons or small group activities for students, gradingstudent assignments in accordance with the teachers grading criteria andproviding individual guidance to students with learning disabilities or behavioralchallenges
In addition, my responsibilities include helping develop programmes oflearning activities and adapting appropriate materials, motivating andencouraging students, helping with center events, trips and activities I alsosearch for students, contact, schedule appointments for course consultation;periodically work with departments to evaluate quality, adjust teaching methods,update demand,
As a teaching assistant to the teacher of center, I have opportunities to gainknowledge and improve my current level I think the teaching assistant is a veryenjoyable, interesting and helpful job Moreover, with this job, I can improve
my English, communication skills, work alongside a number of differentteachers who have prior experience allowing me the opportunity to learn abouthow the lecture is taught to the students as well as how to approach and answerspecific questions or problems the students may be facing on a daily basis
