UNIT 2: HEALTHY LIVING- LOOKING BACK + PROJECT
Subject: English 7 Timing: 1 period (45 minutes)
I Objectives
1 Knowledge:
By the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- remember some vocabulary items related to health.
- review the simple sentences.
- identify a bad habit for healthy living in their school and offer some tips to change that habit.
2 Competence :
Students will be able to:
- develop linguistic competence, communicative competence, cooperative
competence, creative competence, self-study competence
- use verbs and adjectives to talk about protecting health
- change compound sentences into simple ones
- develop speaking, and writing skills.
3 Attitude:
Students will be able to:
- have good habits for healthy living
- protect the environment to have a heealthy life
- love their family members and take care of them
- know the way to protect about their health

III Procedure
Activity 1: WARM UP (5 minutes)
Goal The activity aims to help students revise vocabulary items related health
problems they have learnt in Unit 2
Input Brainstorming (How to avoid virus)
Ss write the words on the board

Procedure - T divides the class into 2 teams
- T asks students to write activites on the board
- The team who has more correct answers is the winner
Activity 2: Complete the sentences with the verbs below( 7’)
Goal The activity aims to help Ss revise the vocabulary items (verbs) they
have learnt in the unit 2

Procedure - T has Ss read the verbs in the box and see if they still remember their
meanings
- T lets Ss do this activity individually, then compare their answers
with their partners

-Activity 3: Write the words below next to their definitions (6 minutes)
Goal The activity aims to help students revise some adjectives and their
definitions related to the topic “ Healthy living”

Procedure - T runs through the task
- T has students read the adjectives in the box and the definitions
- Ss read the words in the box and the definitions chorally
- T asks students to do the exercise individually and then compare their answers with their partners

- T calls on students to give the answers The others give comments
- T confirms the correct answers and shows the answers on the screen

- T runs through the task
- T asks students to read the original sentence and decide how to write a simple sentence from it by identifying the main parts of the new sentence
- Ss read the original sentence and do the exercise individually and then compare their answers with their partners
- T may call students to write the sentences on the board The others give comments (Ss explain if needed.)
- T confirms the correct answers and shows the answers on the screen
Activity 6 : Project ( 10 minutes)
Goal The activity aims to help students to identify a bad habit for healthy
living in their school and offer some tips to change that habit

“ Discuss and list some of bad habits in their school environment”

- T asks students to work in groups
- Ss discuss and list some of bad habits with their friends.
- One student summarises their group members’ answers and reports the result to the whole class

- Ss work in groups to draw their picture to illusttrate their idea
- T asks Ss to practise describing their picture in groups before telling in front of the class

Goal The activity aims to revise the knowledge that students have learned in
this lesson and prepare for the new lesson
