› Serve national convention clients with a dedicated block of hotel rooms adjacent to the OCC

› Capture clients who choose cities over Portland for conventions

because of the lack of adjacent hotel rooms

› Generate new demand for area hoteliers, boost business for restaurants, retailers, transportation services and recreational outfitters

› Protect past investments and ensure the long-term financial viabilit y of the OCC

Portland-M ilwaukie Light Rail Project

› 7.3 miles connecting Portland State Universit y in

downtown Portland, inner southeast Portland,

Milwaukie and north Clackamas Count y

› MAX service scheduled to begin 2015

› By 2030:

−Up to 27,400 daily riders

−22,000 households and 85,000 employees within walking distance of Portland-Milwaukie light rail stations
