II Passive form (Thể bị động)

- Dùng để nhấn mạnh đối tượng chịu tác động của hành động hơn là bản thân của hành động đó.

Form: S + to be + PP + …( by +O) … Bị / Được

Rules:

-Tân ngữ của câu chủ động sẽ làm chủ ngữ của câu bị động.

-Thì của động từ “ tobe” ở câu bị động sẽ phụ thuộc vào thì của động từ chính ở

câu chủ động.

-Chuyển động từ chính của câu chủ động về dạng quá khứ phân từ ( PP)

-Khi muốn nhấn mạnh tác nhân gây ra hành động chúng ta phải dùng By + O .

Notes:

Trong câu bị động ta có thể lược bỏ: by people / them / everyone / someone ( vì tác nhân đề cập là không cụ thể / không xác định rõ) -Trong câu có trạng từ chỉ thời gian và trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn thì: + trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn đứng trước “by + O”.

+ trạng từ chỉ thời gian đứng sau “by + O’.
