I OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson , Ss will be able to get further information about celebrations in the world , then practice reading comprehension skill for details to complete a table

II PREPARATION: Textbook, cassette, pictures, posters

III PROCEDURE:

1/ Warm up : (7’)

Getting started

- Hang on the pictures and introduce the celebrations

- Tell Ss to work with a partner to match the icons with

the names of the celebration they represent

- Observe and listen

- Match the correct pictures with their number

Activity 1: Pre-teach vocabulary

- Introduce the topic of the passage reading and some

new words to Ss
