I OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Know about simple past, write the correct verb in the simple past

- Use the simple past to talk about actions happed in the past

II PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette tape

III PROCEDURES:

1 Warm – Up: (5’)

- Ask ss questions:

What did you do last summer vacation?

2 Presentation(10’)

- Explain new words:

I New words:

+ Aquarium (n) hồ cá

+ souvenir (n) đồ lưu niệm

+ recent (adj) gần đây

+ (a) gift (n) quà

+ (to) return (v) trở về

- Ask ss read the words aloud

- Check new words: what and where

- Explain structure of past simple tense

Ex 1 - It was wonderful.

Ex 2: - I had a lot of fun.

II Structures: 1 Tobe: + S + was/were + O

- Have ss match words and pictures of sea creatures

Sea foods: Fish, Dolphin, Shark, Crab, Turtle …
