1 WARM – UP: (5’)

- Ask questions:

+ Do you usually use invitation?

+ On what occasions?

+ How do you say to accept or refuse the invitation?

2 PRE – READING: (10’)

- Introduce the dialogue and read it

- Ask students to pick out the invitations & their

responses:

+ Would you like to come to my house for lunch? –

Yes, I’d love to.

+ I’m not sure I’ll call you tomorrow.

+ I’d love to, but I can’t come.

+ Thanks for inviting me - It’s my pleasure.

+ Thanks anyway – You’re welcome.

- Explain new word:

+ Wedding (n)

- Ask students give examples for each structure

3 WHILE – READING: (15’)

- Play the tape part B3/ page 66 for students 3 times, ask

them listen to the tape

- Ask students to practice the dialogue in pairs

- Call some students practice before class
