CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

• Câu điều kiện thường có 2 mệnh đề: mệnh

đề chính (main clause) và mệnh đề điều kiện (if clause) Mệnh đề điều kiện có thể đứng

trước hoặc sau mệnh đề chính Nếu mệnh

đề điều kiện đứng trước nó phải cách ngăn với mệnh đề chính bằng dấu “,”.

ex If today were Sunday, I would stay at

home.

Conditional sentences: type 2 (Câu điều kiện loại 2):

• Điều kiện loại 2 là điều kiện không thật hoặc

không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại.

- V not  didn’t + V

- be  WERE

- V  would/ … + V

- V not  would/… + not + V
