Unit 3 : WHERE DID YOU GO ON HOLIDAY?

LESSON 3 – PERIOD 1( part 1-2-3)

I Aims:

1 Knowledge:.By the end of this unit pupils can

- Pronounce two-syllable words with the stress on the first syllable: ’always, ’often,

’usuallyr and ’sometimes.

- Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves

Phonetic: ’always, ’often, ’usuallyr and ’sometimes.

2 Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills

3.Attitude:-In this lesson, studious and obedient students and love their hometown,

family and friends

II Teaching aids

1 Teacher’s: English book , lesson plan, pictures, word cards, , tape, cassette

2 Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks

III.Teaching methods

-Communicative approach.

-Techniques:+ Ask and answer (say individually)

- Guide Ss produce the sound of the letters

- Listen follow in their book

- Ss learn to produce the sound of the letters:

- Listen the CD and repeat the words &

sentences in chorus

- Read in groups/ in pairs

- Give out and check

Activity 2:

- Read 4 sentences in silence before listening

the recording to do the task

Have pupils look at the sentences and guess the

suitable words to circle

- Play the recording 2 times pupils to listen and

circle

- Play the recording again pupils check their

answers T give the answer:

- Have pupils to write on the boad the

sentences

- Check and correct

The rest of the class write in the notebooks

Activity 3:

Teacher introduces the chant

-Play the tape Ask students to read each

sentence in the chant

- Play the chant again and asks students to read

- Ask students to read the chant, combine with

slap their hands

-Divide class into groups to compete together
