I Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen and read the dialogue in order to

choose the true or false statements and answer the 5 questions and understand statements in

reported speech and give advice

1 Knowledge:

- Vocabulary: (to) improve, promise, be proud of, (to) try one’s best, a report card, pronunciation

- Practice the conversation to understand the details.- Review Simple, Present & S Past tense

- Statements in reported speech and giving advice

2 Skills: Listening, speaking, reading , practice doing some exercises.

3 Attitude: Working hard, actively.

1/ Warm up (8’)

- What subjects do you have today? English, Math,

then Ss in each group takes turns to write down all the words they can remember

in 1 minute

- The group writes more right words and faster is the winner

1 Pre- teach:

 Check Vocab “Rub out and remember” if there is time (optional)

* Aim: To help Ss memorize new words easier and more effectively.

- Rub out the new words one at a time

- Each time, rub out an English word, then point to Vietnamese translation and

ask “What’s this in English?” When all the new words are rubbed out, go

through the Vietnamese list and get Ss to call the English words If there is time,

ask Ss to come to the board and write the English words again

* Aim: To get Ss to guess the main ideas of the text.
