Sunshine country from 1998 to 2007 As can be seen from the data in the table, the literacy rate of the population differs

greatly in three areas of the country; Lowlands, Midlands,

Highlands.

In the Lowlands, there was a gradual rise in the number of literate people from 1998 to 2004, but this rate increased

sharply to reach 95% in 2007

Similarly, in the Midlands , the literacy rate went up steadily from 70% in 1998 to 85% in 2007 On the other hand, the
