P3M – Protector DS3 Modules

ADC’s new P3M protector modules combine lightning protection and DS3 signal monitoring capabilities in a single, compact chassis The modules can be placed in an outside plant cabinet

or at a handoff site in a central office and provide primary protection for network equipment DSX-3 module has a gas tube protector that protects DS3 signals on center pin of coax connector from lightning strikes

Chassis are available for five or ten modules and are made of one quarter-inch solid copper ground bar, the same ground bar used in central offices The bar is plated to prevent corrosion Protect and non-protect modules can be mixed in the same chassis

• NEBS Level 3 compliant

• Robust module designed with plated metal

• Dual monitoring

• Field replaceable gas tube protector

• Individual designation label for each circuit

• Chassis constructed of one quarter-inch plated copper ground bar

• Chassis includes isolation mounting blocks
