Trang 3ADC’s OmniReach FTTX Solutions are the industry’s first infrastructure solutions designed from theground up to meet the unique requirements of FTTX networks Designed for operational efficiencyand scalability, OmniReach solutions simplify FTTX network installation, maintenance and manage-ment from the central office/headend to the outside plant.
Servicing neighborhoods and housing developments from 32 to 864 homes, ADC’s Fiber DistributionHubs (FDHs) enable high optical line terminal (OLT) efficiency, and physical layer access to fibers with-
in the feeder and distribution network The FDHs incorporate four time-tested elements that havelong impacted reliability, flexibility and operational costs within the central office:
• Bend radius protection
• Intuitive cable routing
• Easy fiber/connector access
Trang 4Features and Benefits
• Feeder input panel - Connectorized feeder input allows for plug-in of the connectorized splitter input
directly to feeder input port
connectors without disturbing adjacent circuits
of excess fiber while providing positive fiberbend radius control
access to connectors and prevents 90 degreebends on connector boots
distribution bulkhead panels
pro-trude only 48” from the ground, while pole mountversions protrude less than 16” from the pole
in the cabinet ensures accurate and consistentcable routing and speeds service turn-up or rou-tine maintenance
The ADC Parking Lot
All splitter connectors are preloaded into the parking lot
• Safe storage for all connectors prior to use
• NEW 8-pack has all connectors pre-loaded into the
correct position Simply plug in
• Dust cap remains in place until service is turned up
• Easy fiber identification
• Easy installer access to connectors and fibers
• Each splitter output pigtail is uniquely numbered
Trang 5• Provides easy testing and troubleshooting access It is very difficult to use an optical time-domainreflectometer (OTDR) to test multiple splitters unless the network is built with each fiber character-ized to enable the OTDR to recognize each individual fiber run.
• Minimizes signal loss by eliminating extra splices and/or connectors from the distribution network. Each time an optical signal encounters a network component or connection, such as a splitter, itsuffers a certain degree of signal loss Therefore, when splitters are cascaded together, loss willoccur at each device The combined loss effect can reduce the distance a signal can travel, impos-ing distance limitations on fiber runs
• Reducing the number of components in the network decreases the number of opportunities for failure

Trang 7Stubbed Cable Configurations
One of the options when deploying Omnireach FDH cabinets is to install the cabinet with stub cables, which can be ordered for both feeder and distribution When ordering cabinets provisioned with stubs, the splicing operation ensures optimal performance in the field When technicians are only required to
do sheath openings and perform fusion splicing—single strands or mass fusion—significant laborhours and dollars are saved over the scope of the project
Features
• Pole mount, pad mount or sleeve mount
• Pre-terminated with OSP cable, loose tube or ribbon, armored or dielectric
• Angled or flat polish connectors
• Uses ADC high-performance connectors
• Uses 8-pack parking lot

Trang 16Integrated Splice Configurations
Another option when deploying Omnireach FDHs is to install the cabinet and perform the splicingwithin the cabinet The integrated splice configuration allows for all work to be done within the FDH.This approach allows the feeder and distribution cables, as well as the splitter and distribution inter-connect, to be above ground and easily accessible
Features
• Pad mount or sleeve mount
• Lockable in-cabinet splicing for feeder and distribution cables
• Angled or flat polish connectors
• Uses ADC high-performance connectors
• Parking lot available with terminators
• 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, or 1x32 splitters can be preinstalled or ordered separately
• Distribution and feeder cables can be spliced inside cabinet, eliminating the need for additionalsplice closures
