There are four basic types of sentence structures:
+A simple sentence ( is a sentence with just one dependent clause) + A compound sentence ( contains at least 2 independent clauses)
+ A complex sentence ( contains an independent clause and at least one dependent clause)
+ A compound-complex sentence ( mixed) ( contains 2 or more independent clauses and at least one dependent clause)
