Setting plan drawing to be provied as guidance for assembling

Ensure the person in charge of formwork at jobsite will have

Kumkang formwork plan while setting the formwork.

TIP: The setting drawings were produced

as per the shell drawings confirmed by the client Thus, if any changes arise after the shell drawing confirmation, these changes are not applied on the setting drawings In such case, please discuss with Kumkang Kind Co., Ltd to whether supply the additional materials or the changes will be done by jobsite.

The placement of materials at

the jobsite should be as

follow:

• Accessories

• Corners (I/C, O/C, hunch)

• Standard wall panels

• Non-standard wall panels

• Standard slab panels

• Non-standard slab panels

TIP: Prepare enough

space to place the pallets and display the panels according to type, size and zone (unit) This method will allow jobsite workers to easily find the panels and ensure a faster setting of the Kumkang

1) Installation of I/C panels

- When the setting of the Kumkang Aluminum Formwork starts,

the I/C panels shall be the first panels to be installed.

- Based on the formwork plan, identify the I/C panels to be

installed and place them at its location.

- Install wall panels only when the I/C panels have been installed

as per the formwork layout.

2) Installation of wall panels

- Once the I/C panels have been installed, start installing the wall

panels.

- When installing the wall panels, start the installation on one side of

the wall and then install the opposite side.

TIP: Train jobsite workers

to respect the installation order If not followed properly, it will only damage the panels and delay the construction period.

4) Installation of Slab Corner (SC)

- 1 st Assemble the SC at the corner (SIC, SOC) first

- 2 nd install the remaining SC.

5) Slab frame

- In order to assemble the beam, use the middle beam, prop head and end beam with the joint bars/long pin.

- Install a standard slab panel on the corner of the slab level

then install the remaining slab panels as per the formwork

7) Staircases

- When unloading the pallets, staircases pallets should be

located separately from the rest of the materials.

- The setting of staircases is very complex; thus, assign

workers who are skilled with the aluminum formwork.

TIP: The staircase panel has notching on every 150mm for setting easy

Once the Kumkang aluminum formwork setting has been completed,

mark the panels using code and/or color by unit/zone/room (as per jobsite’s

preference)

Labeling (numbering) is very important, it will make sure:

10) Notes when pour concrete

a) Ensure that the concrete

pouring speed be below 2m/hr.

b) Pour the concrete uniformly

over the slab in order to avoid

giving too much pressure on 1

area.

c) Use the vibrator in order to

avoid air bulb to form on the

concrete surface after concrete

casting.

d) Have workers verify the wedge

pins whether they become

loose due to the effect of the

vibrator.

Dismantlement of the Kumkang

aluminum formwork should be done:

Lateral part of structure,

Once the concrete pressure reaches 5MPa or 14MPa,

depending on the area, the dismantlement team must be prepared with below

tools:

1 Dismantle tool

2 Accessory box (for keep pin, wedge pin, …)

The dismantlement sequence will follow below order:

1 Wall

a) Removal of waler b) Removal of wedge pins c) Dismantlement of wall panels d) Move the dismantled panels

to next level using the slab transfer box

2 Beam

a) Dismantlement of beam bottom panel b) Dismantlement of beam SC

3 Slab

a) Removal of joint bar

b) Dismantlement of middle beam and end beam

c) Dismantlement of slab panels

d) Move the dismantled panels

to next level using the slab transfer box

- Dismantling process is an very important process Thus, ensure that the

dismantling team are organized and know the dismantling method.

- While dismantling the slab, ensure that the steel prop and prop head will not be dismantled These materials will be dismantled only after the next level casting Moreover, when dismantling the slab panel, do not make the panels to free-fall on the floor nor force the panels to be dismantled; it will damage the panels.

- Once a panel is dismantled, do not leave it on the floor; rather lean it on the wall and move it to the next level through the slab transfer box only when the whole portion of the dismantling area has been dismantled.

- Finally, when moving the panels to the next floor, ensure that the panels

will be moved as per the marking written on the panel.

Before re-installing the panels, the panels must be cleaned:

1 Using a hammer, gently remove the remaining big concrete blocks.

2 After removing big concrete blocks, apply formoil on the panels and using a paddle, gently remove the smaller concrete blocks.

TIP: When using the hammer or the

paddle, gently remove the concrete

blocks since it might not only damage

the panels but also remove the initial

coating done at our factory.

Once the panels have been lifted to the

next level, verify the following:

Whether the wall is neat If there are

air bulbs, the concrete vibrator was

not used uniformly

1 Whether the wall is horizontally and

vertically straight If the wall is

bulging, the flat-ties, wedge and pins

were not installed correctly.

2 Whether the color of the wall is

“grey” If the color of the wall is

“brownish”, the form oil was mixed

with grease.

3 Whether the prop heads and steel

props were not dismantled

4 Ensure that any problems will be

rectified on the next level in order to
