of the top computer brands in the world – Dell company The purpose of this talk is to give u some background knowledge about this famous company I have divided my presentation into

2 parts: first, the company 's history

second, the way it became successful like that

I will take only five minutes of your time, if u have any question, please feel free to ask me at the end of my talk

Now let start with part 1: the way Dell company was born

Dell Inc was found by Michael Saul Dell – an American business magnate, investor,

philanthropist, and author He first built and sold personal computers from his dorm room at Texas at the age of 19 The company was started with $1000 Four years later, shares of Dell stock were sold for $8.50 In 1992 aged 27, he became the youngest CEO to have his company ranked in Fortune magazine's list of the top 500 corporations

To understand how this could be, let me turn to part 2: the key success factors for Dell

One answer is the built – to – order manufacturing

Dell built its computers, and servers to order; none were produced for inventory Dell

customers could order custom-built servers and workstations based on the needs of their applications

That means customers who bought from Dell got the satisfaction of having their computers customized to their particular liking and pocketbook

In addition to the built – to – order manufacturing, Dell has been focusing on social media

strategies to reach customers and potential customers with marketing offers Dell reportedly earned $1 million in revenue from transmitting messages about sales and discounts to its Twitter followers

Dell had said: “It's customers that made Dell great in the first place if we're smart enough and quick enough to listen to customer needs, we'll succeed”
