How to measure blood pressure

● Wrap the cuff

● Palpate the brachial artery

and place the diaphragm

over this area

● Close the valve

● Pump up the pressure to at

least 150mmHg

● Open the valve slowly,

watch the gauge

● Hear the first sound at the

value on the gauge that point

is SBP

● Hear the finally sound at

the value on the gauge that

point is DBP
