A new way to measure the minimum distance between two selected

tools in the “normal’ direction was added

Description

In previous versions, there were three directions to

measure the minimum distance between two selected

tools The three directions were: Along the X direction,

along the Y direction and along the Z direction

In DF 5.9.2, the ability to measure along the Normal

direction, between the two selected tools, was added See

the figure to the right

Select Master Tool, Slave Tool and Normal direction, and

the distance is displayed in the message prompt area, as

shown below

1.  Start up DYNAFORM 5.9.2 and open the included df file named

UserSetup_Srail.df See Figure 1

2.  Click UserSetup-> Position Tools/Min Distance See Figure 2

3.  The dialog window Min Dis between Tools will open See Figure 3

4.  Select Master Tools: DIE, and select Slave Tools: PUNCH See Figure 4

5.  Select Direction Normal, as illustrated in Figure 4

6.  The minimum distance in the Normal direction will be displayed in the dialog

window and displayed in the message prompt area See Figure 5
