UNIT 5: INVENTIONS Lesson 4: Speaking

Class: Informatics 10 – History 10

I Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- use some words relating to inventions in sentences

- describe briefly the characteristics, uses and benefits of an invention

II Materials:

- Textbook, printed worksheets.

III Anticipated problems:

Ss may not have sufficient vocabulary to speak so the teacher should provide them with necessary words before they start to practice speaking

- T writes 10 inventions on the

board and asks ss to work in

groups of two tables to reorder the

inventions in chronological order

After 4-5 minute discussion, one

member in each group write the

answers on the board T gives

remarks

IMPORTANT INVENTIONS

the Internet (most recent), light

bulb, telephone, refrigerator,

braille, thermometer, microscope,

printing, paper, wheel

- Ss work in groups to reorder the inventions

- Ss write their answers

on the board

conversation with a partner.

textbook once T asks ss whether

Activity 2: Complete the table.

the conversation again then

complete the table in task 2 T asks
