I Objectives : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

 Develop such listening micro-skills as listening for specific and detailed

information

 Use the acquired language to summarize the information they listen to

II Materials :

- Textbook, posters, cassette and handouts

III Anticipated problems : The topic can be challenging for Ss, so T should prepare

them enough for the listening tasks (Example: pre- teaching new words, giving a bit

of information about the topic, etc.)

Where is Cuc Phuong located in?  Thanh Hóa

Hóa), Bạch Mã( Huế),Cát Tiên ( Đồng Nai),

II PRE-LISTENING:

 Set the scene:

Nowadays, What are some problems that national

parks have to face ?(You have already studied in the

speaking lesson)

Suggested answers:

℘ Killing endangered animals for fur, skin, and food

℘ Keeping animals as pets

℘ Hunting or capturing animals for recreation or

entertainment

℘ Burning forests

℘ Cutting down trees for wood

Pre-teach vocabulary

1 Scenic features (n): đặc điểm phong cảnh 

T introduces the game

T divides class into three groups( A, B and C)

T gives instructions: “There are 2 columns (A&B) You have to match the names of the national parks in Vietnam with the 4 pictures Which group finishes first and has more the correct pictures, will be the winner”

T checks the rules of the game

+ Who are in group A (please raise your hand?

+Are there 4 or 5 pictures?

+ Will you work in groups or in pairs? + How many minutes do you have 1’

or 2?

Ss play the game

T gives the answer keys and decides the winner

T leads to the new lesson

T gets ss to guess what topic they are going to listen about

 T asks ss to answer the

question about “What are some problems that national parks have to face?"
