As you type inform ation into each text box, you can click the

Preview S ectio n button to view how yo u r text w ill ap p ear in that

section As an ex am p le, show n in Figure 1-4, w e are p review ing the

H eadline section w ith the headline “ H ello, w orld!"

This preview is ho w yo u r text will look to other M xSpace users I f you

h ave a n y styles that ap p ly to y o u r entire page, f o r exam ple i f a ll y o u r text appears in blue, then the preview won 7 show yo u r text in blue.

to the Profile Edit p ace If you w ant to preview how the en tire profile

will look after you type text into one o f the boxes on the pase click

the Preview Profile button The profile preview appears, as show n in

As with preview ing a section, the profile w o n 't look this way if

you have styles that apply to the entire profile If you w ant to see your

profile as il really looks, click the View M y Profile link to the right o f

the Profile Edit - Interests & Personality title at the top o f the page

D o n 't feel com pelled to answ er all this inform ation right away

if you d o n ’t w ant to You can take yo u r tim e fig u rin e out what

you w ant to say and if you d o n 't like w hat y o u 'v e added you can

alw ays change it If you w ant o th er M ySpace users to find you, be

sure to give them easily identifiable keyw ords to let them know you

have the sam e interests they do For exam ple, if you like the Sta r

Trek television series, be sure to type the w ords S ta r T re k in the

Television box

W hen y o u 're finished editing yo u r interests and personality

inform ation, click the S ave All C hanges button at the bottom o f

the page M ySpace saves yo u r information and displays "Profile

U pdated" at th e to p o f the page

The only inform ation in this page that appears is yo u r gender, birth

date, and zip code, w hich you added when you created your profile

You can add more specific inform ation such as your ethnicity, body

type, and height You can also tell people the reason(s) why you're

on M ySpace so other users w ho are on M ySpace for the sam e reason

(for exam ple, for dating) can find you m ore easily You d o n 't have

to add this inform ation if you d o n 't feel it’s necessary or d o n 't feel

com fortable letting others know this specific inform ation about you

W hen you finish m aking changes in the page, click the Save

C hanges button M ySpace saves yo u r inform ation and displays

“ Profile U pdated" at the top o f the page

The first step is to search for the school Type in the nam e o f

the school in the S chool N am e box and ihen select the co u n try and
