How do I submit a podcast to the iTunes Store?

1 View a podcast entry

2 Click Inspector.

3 Click the Blog & Podcast icon ( )

4 Click Podcast.

5 Describe your podcast

6 Make sure the Allow box is checked for the series or episode,

depending on what you want to publish ( changes to )

7 Click File and then click Submit Podcast to iTunes.

iWeb submits the podcast for consideration

iWeb updates the podcast entry

9 If you added an audio file, click

Photos and click and drag an

image to replace the placeholder

You can click Add Entry to post

new media to your podcast

● You can select an entry in the list

and click Delete Entry to delete

media from your podcast

0 Click to select the media clip

! Click Inspector.

The Inspector appears

How do I change the still image that appears with a

movie clip on my page?

The still image that appears above the movie controls is called

the poster frame You set the poster frame by choosing a

frame from your movie.

1 Click to select the movie on a page

2 Click Inspector.

The Inspector appears

3 Click the QuickTime Inspector icon ( )

4 Click and drag the slider to display the frame to use as the poster

frame

5 Click to close the Inspector

iWeb sets the poster frame

q Click the archive page for the

podcast in the sidebar

iWeb displays the podcast archive

All the podcast entries, including

old ones, are listed in the archive

● Viewers can click a title to view an

entry

w If you have already published

your Web site, click Publish Site

to update the podcast and other

information on your site

You must publish your site for

new podcast entries to appear

online

You can create a photo album to present a

Web site iWeb organizes small versions of

the photos into a grid You can click a

small version to view a larger version iWeb

can create multiple pages if you have a

large number of photos in the album.

How do I add movies to a photo album?

You can click and drag movie clips to an album from the

media pane to add them alongside photos.

1 Click Movies in the media pane to display clips from

your iMovie library

Note: If the media pane is not visible, click Show Media at the bottom of the

workspace to display it.

2 Click and drag a movie clip to the photo album

iWeb displays the photo detail page

● Clicking thumbnail versions of the photos

enable viewers to view other photos in the

album

● Viewers can click an icon to hide ( ) or

display ( ) the thumbnails

Viewers can click Play Slideshow to play

the photo album as a slideshow

● You can double-click the title and

description to edit them

iWeb adds the images to the album

The Photo Grid panel appears

8 Click to set the number of columns and the

spacing of the photos

9 Click here to set how many photos appear

on a page

● You can change the album style by clicking

the style menu

How can viewers subscribe to my photos?

Viewers can subscribe to a photo album or albums page on

your site New photos can then be automatically downloaded

via RSS into their iPhoto library or RSS reader For more about

RSS, see “Insert an RSS Feed.”

1 Open a Photos or My Albums page

2 Click Inspector.

3 Click the Photos Inspector icon ( )

4 Click Allow visitors to subscribe ( changes to )

● You can click and drag additional

albums to add more

You can publish an album to your MobileMe

account to make your photos available online

You can then send your friends and family a

How do I edit captions for photos in an

album?

Each photo in an album includes a caption that you

can use to describe the subject matter Captions

also appear on the detail page for the photo.

1 Open a photo album page

Note: To create a photo album using the Photos template, see “Create a

Photo Album.”

● iWeb uses the file name of a photo for its caption

by default

2 Click the caption to make it editable, and type a

photo description

3 Click away from the caption

iWeb saves the caption

● You can click and drag in the

center to reposition the gallery

● You can click and drag a handle to

resize the gallery

5 Click to close the settings

iWeb saves the page settings

● The title of the gallery appears

here

● Viewers can click to cycle

through the photos in the gallery
