How do I replace a clip in my project?
The steps for replacing a video clip are
similar to inserting a clip.
1 Click and drag the replacement clip from
the event browser onto the clip to replace
in the project
2 Release the mouse button
3 In the menu that appears, click Replace.

● The new clip is inserted in

How do I add a themed transition?
If you apply a theme to your project,
iMovie makes available transitions that
match that theme For example, the Photo
Album theme includes transitions that
show clips taped to a photo album page

How do I keep transitions from shortening my
movie?
By default, iMovie overlaps the ends of your clips to
create smooth transitions from one clip to another
This shortens the length of your movie slightly You
can change this behavior.
1 Open the Project Properties dialog by clicking Set
Theme in the transitions browser
2 Click to automatically add transitions between clips
( changes to )
3 Click Extend ends and maintain duration

5 Click Done to apply the changes.

How do I edit the transition duration in the
precision editor?
Follow these steps:
1 Position the cursor over the left or right edge of the
transition icon
2 Click and drag left or right to shorten or lengthen
the duration
● iMovie changes the duration and displays the
