Một giải pháp giúp bạn tiết kiệm thời gian khi cài lại Windows: tích hợp các
phần mềm vào bộ cài đặt Windows XP, với sự trợ giúp của Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI).
Các phần mềm sẽ tự động được cài đặt trong bước cuối cùng của quá trình cài Windows XP, tương tự các đĩa Windows Unattended đầy rẫy trên Internet hiện nay
1 Đầu tiên, bạn tải miễn phí phiên bản mới nhất của WPI từ địa chỉ

Bạn cần chuẩn bị sẵn các file cài đặt phần mềm thường dùng và chép chúng
vào thư mục C:\WPI_v3.7.0\WPI\Install Tiếp đó quay lại thư mục
C:\WPI_v3.7.0\WPI, bấm đôi vào file WPI.hta để mở giao diện chính của WPI.
Tiếp theo, bạn chọn thẻ Config để bắt đầu thiết lập thông số để Windows XP
tự động cài đặt phần mềm
Trong cửa sổ hiện ra, bạn bấm nút Add để bắt đầu các bước tích hợp một phần
mềm vào bộ cài đặt Windows XP
Tại thẻ Details, bạn điền tên phần mềm vào khung Name, nhập thông tin mô
tả phần mềm này vào khung Description Tại trường Options, bạn giữ nguyên tùy chọn Default để phần mềm được tự động cài đặt theo chuẩn mặc định Tại hộp Category, bạn nên chọn nhóm cho phần mềm là Application (có sẵn), hoặc chọn Other để tạo ra một nhóm mới, rồi nhập tên cho nhóm này ở hộp
kế bên (chẳng hạn Multimedia) Xong, bạn nhớ bấm nút Save phía dưới để lưu lại nội dung file config.js.
Chuyển sang thẻ Commands, bạn bấm nút Add, rồi bấm nút và tìm chọn
file cài đặt phần mềm đã copy vào thư mục C:\WPI_v3.7.0\Install trước đó.
Kế tiếp, bạn bấm nút Trong cửa sổ Universal Silent Switch Finder 1.5.0.0 hiện ra, nếu quan sát thấy tại phần Notes không có ghi chú nào là Erro thì mọi

2 Bây giờ, bạn cho đĩa cài đặt Windows XP vào ổ đĩa Copy toàn bộ nội dung
đĩa này vào thư mục nào đó trên ổ cứng (chẳng hạn C:\XP) Tiếp đó, mở thư mục C:\WPI_v7.3.0, copy thư mục WPI rồi dán vào thư mục chứa bộ cài Windows XP là C:\XP.

Trang 33 Sau cùng, bạn dùng UltraISO để tạo file ISO từ thư mục XP, rồi “đánh” file ISO này ra đĩa CD để có được đĩa cài Windows XP tích hợp sẵn phần mềm
Cách thực hiện: Trong giao diện chính UltraISO, từ khung Local bên trái, bạn
duyệt đến thư mục C:\XP, đánh dấu chọn tất cả file và thư mục vừa hiện ra ở khung bên phải, bấm phải chuột và chọn Add để đưa chúng vào khung phía trên Sau cùng, bạn vào menu File > Save As, đặt tên cho file ISO sắp tạo và chọn thư mục lưu, rồi bấm Save để bắt đầu tạo file ISO.
Lưu ý: Nếu muốn tích hợp thêm bản vá, bỏ bớt các thành phần không cần
thiết khỏi bộ cài Windows XP ở trên trước khi tạo file ISO, bạn có thể nhờ cậy tiện ích nLite (www.nliteos.com)

Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI for short) is a hypertext application
designed for giving users choice While Windows XP offers many ways of customizing the setup process out of the box, its major drawback is the lack of being able to select which applications an end user may install In the past, end users and administrators needed to either download the files manually, or create overly complex scripts that could only be used once WPI allows you to create one image, which can then be custom configured, and optionally, automated, so that end users can install any applications
WPI is a simple to use automation program for the choice and installation of multiple programs, tweaks and scripts No longer will you need a dozen CD's
or more when doing a fresh Installation No longer will you need multiple files when you are servicing another PC With Windows Post-Install Wizard all that

With your typical setup of WPI you have your OS and all of the apps, tweaks and such on one disk After windows installs, WPI kicks in and you are given a selection of everything you have configured WPI with, then you can select the ones you want or simply let the timer run out and your default apps will install
