The method sp cifies me s rin eq ipment by me n of blocks of pro erties These blocks

are compi ed into l sts of pro erties (LOPs), e c of whic des rib s a sp cific eq ipment

(device) typ This stan ard series covers b th pro erties that may b u ed in an in uiry or a

pro osal an detai ed pro erties req ired for integration of the eq ipment in computer

s stems for other tasks

IEC 619 7-10 defines stru ture elements for con tru tin lsts of pro erties for electrical an

o timize their proces es an workflows IEC 619 7-10 also provides the data model for

as embl n the LOPs

IEC 619 7-1 sp cifies the generic stru ture for o eratin an device l sts of pro erties

(OLOPs an DLOPs) It lay down the framework for further p rts of IEC 619 7 in whic

complete LOPs for device typ s me s rin a given ph sical varia le an u in a p rtic lar

me s rin prin iple wi b sp cified The generic stru ture may also serve as a b sis for the

sp cification of LOPs for other in u trial-proces control in trument typ s s c as control

valves an sig al proces in eq ipment

contact an non-contact temp rature tran mit ers or temp rature gau es whic can b u ed,

for example, as req ests for variou sorts of q otation The DLOPs for the variou

temp rature tran miter an gau e typ s provided in this p rt of IEC 619 7 can b u ed in

very dif erent way in the computer s stems of eq ipment man facturers an s p l ers, in

CAE an simi ar s stems of EPC contractors an other en ine rin comp nies an esp cialy

in dif erent plant maintenan e s stems of the plant owners The OLOP an the DLOPs
