Tes in ac ordanc with 6.2.

5.2.2 Lateral stabiity of benches with fixed bar bel suppor ts

Benches with f ix ed b rbel supp rt shal be s a le w hen lo ded with u eq al lo d at right angles t o

the longitu inal a is

Tes in ac ordanc with 6.3

5.2.3 L ng itudinal stabi ity of benches with fixed bar bel sup or ts

Benches with fixed b r bel sup ort shal be s a le in the longitu inal dir ction with r spe t to the bench

Tes in ac ordanc with 6.4

5.3 Free-standing bar bel suppor ts

Fr e-s an ing barbel sup ort shal ha e a devic for conne ting t o the grou d

Tes in ac ordanc with 6.1.2

5.4 Dimensions of the bar bel support

The front p rt of the sup ort (y ke), w hen measur d with a (3 ± 1) mm diamet er b r, shal ha e a

ve tical height of 2 mm t o 40 mm ( e fo tnot e a in Figur 1)a o e the lowes point of the r s ing b r

an the r ar part shal be ≥ 0 mm highe than the t op of the front of the sup ort (y ke) ( e Figur 1)

The t est ed me hanism shal be actuat ed as int en ed b the man factur r

6.2 Testing of rotational stabi ity of the bar bel

A sol d st eel b r w hich is (1 60 ± 5 ) mm long an has a diamet er of (2 ,5 ± 1) mm shal be plac d

c ntral y on the b rbel sup ort If the bench is designed for use with an Olympic siz st eel b r, use an

Olympic st eel b r of (22 0± 5 ) mm inst ead of the (1 6 0 ± 5 )mm st eel b r

Then one weight disk of

a) 1 kg for clas H, an

b) 2 kg for clas S

shal be plac d on one side ofthe st eel bar with mid-plane of the disk p sitioned ac ording t o Figur 2
