The usual siz of sc e n is betwe n 1 5 0 mm × 1 1 0 mm an 2 5 0 mm × 2 0 0 mm It consis s of a

transluc nt w hit e b ckgrou d with p ralel black s ripes, 2 mm wide an 2 mm a art, inclned at 45°

The sc e n is u iformly lt from behin with w hit e day light fluor sc nt tubes The i luminanc of the

sc e n measur d 1 m from it shal be betwe n 40 lux an 1 2 0 lux The measur ment shal be taken

at a p int on a lne normal t o the c ntr of the sc e n The wal s of the t es ro m should be p int ed with

a dark non-r fle tive p int ha ing a dif use r fle tion ≤ ,1

The glas t o be ex mined shal be held ve ticaly in a sup ort frame The c ntr of the glas shal be at

a dis anc of 4,5 m from the sc e n an on a l ne normal t o the c ntr of the sc e n The glas shal be

ca a le of being rotat ed aroun a ve tical a is The glas shal be held with the dir ction of draw of

the glas ve tical Appro riat e c itical viewing angles, α, formed b the glas an the sc e n should be

in icat ed ( e Figur 2) The o se ver s an s s i at a dis anc of 9 m from the c ntr of the sc e n on a
