4 Preparation oftest specimens

The mat erial shal be kept in mois ur -pro f containe s unti it is r q ir d for use

NOTE A t the time of p blication of this document, the ISO 2 4 series is b ing revised, def ining only the

injection-moulding con itions an refer ing to ISO 2 75 for the dimensions of the specimens Other International

Stan ards that have hithert o used diferent designations for the same specimen ty e are also inten ed to b

revised to bring the designations int o line with those in ISO 2 75 Man test stan ards, specifying test specimen

or refer ing to other stan ards as ISO 3 6 an the ISO 2 4 series, wil b revised in d e time an also refer to

4.2 Treatment of the mater ial befor e moulding

Befor proc s ing, the mois ur cont ent of the mat erial sample shal not ex ce d 0,0 % (b mas ) In

the case of f iled mat erials, this lmit r fe s t o the t otal mas of the mo las ic an file

To ensur that the mois ur cont ent r mains low, it is r commen ed that the sample mat erial in the fe d

ho pe of the inje tion-moulding machine be blanket ed with any suita le g s (e.g dried air, nitrog en or

arg on) Bett er r sult ma be o tained using a deh midifie ho pe drye

4.3 Injection moulding

Inje tion-moulded spe imens shal be pr par d in ac ordanc with ISO 2 4-1, using the con itions

spe if ied in Ta le 1
