As society becomes more globally connected, we would better know at leastone foreign language in order to interact with the outside world More than 400million people speak English as their mother tongue It is evident that English is themost widely-used language In fact, many parents enroll their kids in an Englishcenter because they recognize the value of the language and want to help thembecome better English speakers Pantado English center was established to assistchildren in mastering English

The company always aims at the core value of learning and teaching English,which is to create a happy and friendly studying environment to help childrenbecome more and more passionate about English

It is my honor to get the opportunity to work as an intern at the TrainingDepartment at PANTADO Technology Development Joint Stock Company Afternearly one month of internship, I have successfully completed this program

Textbook: focuses on Ministry of Education documents (pilot system) forstudents in grades 3 to 11 This program is designed for students who want to learnmore in order to improve their test scores and grammar

The Fun for Starters, Movers, and Flyers program is designed for students ingrades 1 through 5 who already have a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary,and pronunciation and want to improve their listening, speaking, reading, andwriting skills There are also exam preparation exercises where students can takemock tests for the starter, mover, and flyer certifications

KET, PET: Students in secondary school or high school (6th to 12th grade)have a solid foundation and practice advanced listening, speaking, reading, andwriting skills

Grammar Summary and New Grammar Times: This program is designed forelementary and middle school students (grades 3–9) Students who want to focus ongrammar Each series will include comprehensive grammar lessons that closelyfollow the school textbook program

As you can see from the table above, it shows the revenue, cost, and profit ofPantado JSC

There are many significant changes in 2022 compared to 2021, specifically:

o Total net revenue in 2022 was 69,510,087,657; a decrease to 6,286,767,377

in 2021 was seen in total net revenue, or an 8.29% decrease This shows that thebusiness performance in 2022 was lower than in 2021

o Cost of goods sold: the cost of goods sold in 2022 is 62,319,023,664 VND,

a drop of 2,054,940,063 VND compared to 2021, equivalent to a decrease of 3.19%

o Sales expenses: in 2022, the company's financial expenses were VND4,164,397,846, going down to VND 2,088,861,479 in 2021, a 33.4% decrease.

o Expenses for business administration include electricity, water, staff costs,depreciation of fixed assets, and so on Business administration expenses in 2022increased compared to 2020; specifically, in 2021, these were VND 1,946,727,123,

a rise of 151.30% compared to 2021 In order to increase profits in the next year, thecompany should limit expenses such as electricity, water bills, other outsourcedservice costs, etc

o Profit before taxes: In 2022, the profit before taxes declined from VND2.515.563.335 to VND 1,321,045,761 compared to 2021, a decrease of1.194.517.574, or 47.49%

o Profit after tax is VND 1,056,836,609 in 2022, a decrease of VND955,614,059 from 2021, a 47.49% decline

o Corporate income tax expense: In 2021, the company's corporate incometax expense is VND 264,209,152, a decrease of VND 238,903,515 from 2020,correlating to a 47.49% decrease

In general, the company has undergone a significant decline in revenuecompared to the last year due to social distancing After the pandemic, childrencould go to school Therefore, parents are no longer interested in online classes

Director Mr Nguyen Van Cong, chairman and founder of Pantado JSC,

manages and controls all business operations of the company

Deputy Director Mr Doan Trong Hieu: is in charge of planning, directing,

and managing the activities of management and technical personnel, as well asensuring the consistency of goals, policies, and technical and administrativeprocedures

Pantado JSC has got 6 main departments:

 Sales Department: is responsible for developing effective business plans

and establishing relationships with parents and students in order to introduce onlinecourses Contract negotiations and signing to generate revenue for the company

 CS Department: is regarded as a critical factor in the company's success.

They are the link that connects parents, students, and teachers The team is in charge

of monitoring classes and resolving issues with teachers and parents

 Accounting Department: is responsible for developing statistics and

controlling the company's financial situation, as well as creating invoices,documenting databases in books, calculating profit and loss based on the company'sbusiness situation, and calculating employee salary

 Marketing Department: is in charge of gathering market information in

order to determine the customer's demand and target market, and thus forecastingdemand for courses They promote courses by launching campaigns andpromotional materials

 Training Department: it determines the success or failure of Pantado's

study programs The team will be tasked with the following steps: disseminatinginformation about management and teacher training; receiving teacher feedback;finding teachers for classes; or changing teachers' classes

2.1 Information about the internship Department

At Pantado JSC, I did an internship as an online English teacher, and under thesupervision of 2 departments including the Training Department and the SalesDepartment However, most of my time was in the Training Department,specifically the Teacher Team

The Training Department is divided into 3 other divisions respectivelyManagement Team, Teacher Team, Class Arrangement Team Each of them willkeep a certain role as below:

 Management team: they are responsible for evaluating the quality of

training programs and managing teachers as well as class quality Besides, they willtake over monitoring and training to ensure the quality of the teaching activities;dealing with teacher and student feedback

Class arrangement team: the main role is to collect and make available

information from students in order to properly organize teachers for each class

Teacher team: applicants can finally begin working as teachers at Pantado

after completing challenging and difficult recruitment processes They will teachstudents one-on-one online using pre-planned lessons

During my internship in Pantado, I was trained to be a professional Englishteacher for children

This precious opportunity to become a member of Pantado taught me a lot.Furthermore, I can confidently state that I underwent significant changes in both myprofessional and soft skills Below is a brief summary of what I was assigned andobtained throughout my 4-week internship at Pantado

- Find out about the company's culture Read out theintroduction for information about the center's classes and thelevel-appropriate materials
