Coordinator, Student Conduct and Community Standards

The University of Texas at San Antonio

Description

The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is accepting applications for an entry-level Coordinator for Student Conduct and Community Standards UTSA Student

Conduct and Community Standards is a leader in student conduct and the founding campus of the E.P.I.C Journey Sanctioning Model

The Coordinator will receive, investigate, and process all student conduct referrals; conduct preliminary meetings with students; coordinate student conduct hearings; and prepare all student information as required for appeals while observing confidentiality throughout the student conduct process This position also assists campus departments, faculty, and staff in responding to possible violations of university rules, regulations and policies via the student conduct system; proactively educates the campus community on issues including drug/alcohol prevention, scholastic dishonesty, and other crime

prevention programs as needed; acts as a liaison with campus police, counseling services, campus housing, and other campus services; periodically assists with other departmental projects; serves on university committees; and performs additional duties as assigned

Requirements

The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in a college/university setting providing direct service to students (two years as a graduate assistant may be substituted for one year of experience, and one year of additional

education may be substituted for one year of experience); demonstrated decision-making

in the disciplinary processes; and experience in programming on one or more of the following: scholastic dishonesty, alcohol/drug issues, or crime prevention programs Experience working with students living in on-campus housing is preferred
