As a graduate student in the computer science program, the majority of your time will
be spent doing advanced research in one of the computer science department's major area of excellence: critical infrastructure protection If you haven't already, you'll have
to complete CompSci 5200: Analysis of Algorithms prior to graduation

HESIS OPTION
This track requires the completion of 25 hours of graduate course work (a minimum
of 9 at the 6000 level in computer science lecture courses and one credit hour of CS
6010 Seminar), six to nine hours of research, and the successful completion and defense of a research thesis Information about how theses are graded can be found in the thesis rubric
NON-THESIS OPTION
This track requires the completion of 31 hours of graduate coursework (a minimum of
15 at the 6000 level in computer science lecture courses and one credit hour of CS
6010 Seminar)

Financial Statement Requirements
In order for International Affairs (IA) to issue you an I-20/DS-2019 from Missouri S&T, you must provide a financial statement that demonstrates you have sufficient funds to cover living and educational expenses for full-time study Please refer to the financial statement requirements listed below for what must be included on the statement
You will be required to provide a financial statement to meet the required
I-20/DS-2019 cost of attendance for a minimum nine-month period, as listed here The total amount listed for each degree type includes educational fees, room and board, books and supplies, personal needs, and health insurance Please note that health insurance is mandatory for all international students, and your admission to Missouri S&T is contingent upon your purchase of this mandatory insurance policy For more
