Thank you for considering our request to be a sponsor of InnovateIT 2020! InnovateIT will begin at
5pm on March 27th and end at 5pm on March 28th It will be hosted in Harriman Hall at Stony Brook
University where students will have access to iCREATE resources and technology, workshops
hosted by staff, knowledgeable mentors, and snacks/meals to keep them powering through the
night! About InnovateIT InnovateIT is a 24-hour make-a-thon at Stony Brook University designed to provide an opportunity
for students to solve a greater problem using their skills and knowledge Unlike hackathons,
InnovateIT is designed to appeal to students of all majors, not just engineering and computer
science students This multidisciplinary approach is why we call InnovateIT a make-a-thon rather
than a hackathon. This year’s topic is Health and Wellness, and we encourage students to develop a prototype and/or
proposal that tackles this issue Throughout the 24 hours, students will make and innovate to
produce a final product and/or proposal that can target current day problems associated with health
and wellness and in the process foster interdisciplinary problem-solving to innovate for impact. About iCREATE iCREATE, a department under the Division of Information Technology at Stony Brook University, has
the vision of providing the ideology and tools to foster institutional collaborative endeavors sparking
creativity, innovation, and ultimately redefining technological boundaries InnovateIT embodies
iCREATE’s vision and mission to nurture student innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, all of
which are possible through the collaboration with companies, clubs, and organizations. How Can You Help? Enclosed is the Sponsor Agreement Form which lists the benefits associated with each level of
