Let's start from the background in the left

1 Decide the light source

2 Create a new layer, draw some water-drop-like shapes on this new layer

3 Double-click this same layer, modify the

"drop shadow" setting "layer style"

Drop shadow can be used to "trace the

lines", and is better than "stroke"

Recommended setting

e Set Distance to 0 px will make it like tracing

e Set Size to 0 px will have thin and beautiful lines

e Different Contour can also be used You can try

them out individually.

4 Lock the transparent pixels in the water drop layer, and use gray to cover all the areas with pixels

5 Draw the light colors according to the light 6 Lighten the darker part by drawing using lighter

7 Draw the highlight 8 Change the color on the edge a little bit by using

soft-edge airbrush

Advantages using overlay to adjust color

e can adjust color really easilly and conveniently

e virtually any color can be used, and multiple colors can be changed on a same layer

10 Draw some other water drops using the same method above

11 Adjust the color of the whole painting, Finished
