Unit 6: A VISIT TO A SCHOOL Lesson 3: A closer look 2

I OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- use the lexical items related to the topic A visit to a school and do the exercises in the text book

-use the prepositions of time and prepositions of place: in, on, at

-pronounce correctly the sounds /ɑː/ and /ʌ/

1 Knowledge:

* Vocab: Christmas Day, finish, Teacher’s Day break time, water the flowers

* Grammar: The simple present and past simple.

2 Competences:

- Listening and reading to get information about the a visit to a school.

- Communication, self-learning capability, creative capacity, ability to use of

language……

3 Qualities:

- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively

participate in all classroom activities

- like the activities in the school and friends

III PROCEDURES:

1.Warm-up (5’)

* Aim: - activate students’ knowledge on the topic of the unit.

- set the context for the listening and reading part

* Content: A visit to a school (about school things)

* Products: Ss write words exactly on the board.

* Warm up:

- Teacher divides the class into 2-3 groups

and explains the game rules:

- Teacher tells students what they must do
