Week 1 Date of preparing: 03/09/2021

I.Objectives:

After finishing this period Teacher can motivate sts to learn this subject well

II.Contents:

1.Why do we learn English?

2.How to learn English well?

III.Procedures :

1.Presenting the book

- Teacher says: “There are 16 units in English 7 and we will learn in 105 periods There are twomid- term tests each semester

In 16 units, we deal with 6 themes:

+ You and me (personal information)

+ Education

+ Community

+ Health

+ Recreation

+ The world around us

2.Why do we learn English?

- English is an international language

- English helps us find good jobs in foreign companies and get big salary

- English helps us study abroad

- English also makes many people in the world come nearer

3.How to learn English well?

- If we want to learn English well, we must learn 4 skills well (listening, speaking; reading,writing)

- We aren’t shy and nervous to speak or read English

- We usually listen to the tape to improve listening skill

- We must learn by heart the new words and prepare the lesson at home

- We have to do our best to overcome the problems (We aren’t learned English in the

primary school like the other school)

-There are two 15-minute tests and two 45-minute tests in each term

6.Checking the previous lesson

- Checking new words and structures in the previous lesson and before the new lesson

- Sts’ volunteer can be given marks in the new lesson, if that grammar points concern the old lesson

SECTION A: FRIENDS (A1,3,4)

I OBJECTIVE: By the end of the lesson, the Sts will be able to:

- know how to greet people different ages and respond to one another’s greetings

- know how to introduce oneself and others

- developing Sts’ listening and speaking skill

II LANGUAGE CONTENT:

1 Vocabulary: classmate, also, to meet, pretty, pretty good, well, later

2 Structure: -Some other ways of greetings: Nice to see you again / Nice to meet you.

“How is everything?”, “Just fine/ Not bad/ Pretty good” Me, too / So am I

1 Warm up: (5’) Brainstorming

To motivate Sts before starting the new lesson

friends when you meet after the summer holidays

2 Presentation:(10’)

To set up a context and pre-teach key words

-T introduces herself and ask some Sts’ name

- T: I’m Uyen Nice to meet you What’s your

name?

- Sts answer

-T uses pictures to introduce the content of the

dialogue

T: “Ba and Nga meet each other after a long

summer holiday Now they greet one another and

introduce a new classmate.”

-T asks Sts to look at the pictures and listen to the

dialogue once or twice

- Sts Listen carefully

-Explains the structure and the new words

- T models the new words and the structure and

asks Sts to repeat (individually)
