I.Động từ (werb ) to be : am ,is,are

I + am He/She/It /Lan + is You/We /They/ Lan and Hoa + are

Ex : I am a student She is a teacher They are my friends

2 Thể phủ định : Ta thêm not ,sau động từ to be

am, is ,are

I + am + not

He/ She/ It/ Lan + is + not

You/ We/ They /Lan and Hoa + are + not

Is not = isn’t ; are not = aren’ t

Ex : I am not ten years old

He is not a doctor

They are not my friends

3 Thể nghi vấn : Ta đưa am, is ,are ra đầu câu .

The present simple: Thì hiện tại đơn

1 Câu khẳng định

She/ He/ It/CN số ít + V ( s – es )

I/You/We /They / CN số nhiều + V

( Nguyên mẫu )

Ex : He goes to school at 6 :30

Ex : She doesn’t go to bed at 9:30

3.Câu nghi vấn:Ta đưa do và does ra đầu câu

a/ Cách thêm s hoặc es sau động từ

1 Những động từ kết thúc bằng o, sh,

ch, ss, x và z ta thêm đuôi es

Ex : watch – watches : go- goes

2 Những động từ kết thúc bằng “Y” mà

trước nó là một phụ âm thì ta chuyển“Y”

thành “I” sau đó thêm đuôi es:

Ex : carry - carries ; fly :- flies

3 Nếu không rơi vào hai trường hợp trên ta

chỉ thêm s :

Ex : work - works ; play -plays
