5 tasks of the work of the manager

1 Planning (setting objectives)

set objectives and decide how can achieve or accomplish them

involve developing strategies, plans and precise tactics, allocating resources of

people and money

2 organizing

analyze and classify the activities of the organization and the relation among

them They divide the work into manageable activities and then individual tasks

→ select people to perform these tasks

3 integrating (motivating and communicating)

communicate objectives to the people responsible for attaining them

make the people who are responsible for performing individual tasks form teams

make decision about pay and promotion

organizing and supervising the work of subordinates

work with people in other areas and functions

4 measuring performance

measuring performance of their staff, to see whether the objectives or target are

being achieved

5 developing people (subordinates and themselves)

Also have to :

consider the future, and modify or change the organization's objectives when

necessary, and introduce the innovations

manage a business's relations with customers, suppliers, distributors, bankers,
